Lourdes is a specialist of early childhood education and training of women from marginalized communities to promote early childhood development, community child development and Montessori philosophy.

Lourdes gathers over 30 years of experience as educator and trainer of teachers and other early childhood professionals. She is the author of several publications and a consultant in children’s human rights of children, community development and early education in Mexico. Lourdes is graduated from the UNAM.

 

Marcela Torres

Marcela loves hacking things, specially social justice. Her commitment to bring about positive social change, has driven her to engage in various sectors from the public sector, social corporate responsibility to become an international consultant for social impact assessments and action-field-researcher across the world. She believes social entrepreneurship provides a real space for innovation, testing, contestation and hacking inequalities.

She holds an Msc in Social Development Planning from University College London, and a dual degree in International Studies from Universidad de Monterrey and Université Panthéon-Assas Paris II.

Joaquín Lelo de Larrea

Joaquín is a passionate multicultural executive who fell in love with the Hipocampus mission and the way it delivers its value by providing early childhood development opportunities in Mexico. Joaquín truly believes that the best way to make a real difference is by closing the inequality gap that exists between privileged and undeserved people.

Joaquín brings to Hipocampus more than 17 years of experience in leadership roles, for organizations such as: American Express, Paypal and more recently, Visa. He has a degree in Economics from ITAM University and an MBA from the ITESM.

 

Sandra Velasco

Impact Venture Builder - Social mobility through employability

Sandra is passionate about innovation, entrepreneurship and social impact, she has worked in five different countries, from China to Chile.

As an entrepreneur, she was part of the "Start-up Chile" program after having co-created a social network for Latin American people in China. She subsequently formed an NGO to foster the love of reading, which was recognized as one of the eight most important social projects led by women in Chile.

For the last three years she worked at Uber as Operations Manager for Latin America, and graduated from the UPenn Social Impact Strategy program.

Diana Popa

Co-Founder and CEO of Tecnorural "Extensio"

Passionate about sustainable agriculture and energy, Diana has worked in these two sectors for over ten years. Before joining Tecnorural in November 2016, Diana has managed several international agriculture and energy projects with the renewable energy company Vergnet and energy corporation Alstom Power.

Diana has a Master’s Degree in International Business and Strategy with INSEEC Business School, Paris.
