José is co-founder and business development manager of Esoko Mexico, an ICT platform that transforms agricultural value chains and drives social impact in rural communities through mobile phone technology. Previous to his involvement in Esoko, Jose gained +10 years of experience creating social and economic value for both private (PepsiCo and Grainger) and public sectors (SAGARPA/FAO and ProMexico) through project management, business development and impact evaluation consultancy. 

José holds a MSc Development Administration and Planning degree from University College London (UCL) and an engineering degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Luis fell in love with social entrepreneurship in college and made it his life's means. That journey has taken him from working in large organisations such as CEMEX, where he worked as an internal consultant and DNV where he managed the Climate Change unit for Northern Latin America. Luis also worked for tiny organisations where he developed international summer programs and even a theatre play. He is most passionate about bicycles, the environment and childhood (he dreams of becoming a child when he grows up!).

Luis is an Acumen fellow and holds a degree in entrepreneurship from the University of Alberta.
